BRODHEAD, WI - FULL TIME

Productive Resources (www.productiveresources.com) is seeking a candidate to be part of our engineering team at our customer’s facility in Brodhead, WI. As a member of our team, the selected candidates will be a seasoned technician responsible for supporting and enhancing production through advanced troubleshooting, maintenance, and process improvements. You’ll work across equipment, tooling, and assembly lines to maintain operational excellence and drive efficiency gains.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification (e.g., in mechanics, electrical, or industrial maintenance) is advantageous.
  • 3–5 (or more) years of experience in industrial or manufacturing maintenance roles—preferably in heavy equipment or trailer assembly environments.
  • Proficient in mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical diagnostics and repairs.
  • Strong familiarity with tools and machinery such as cranes, presses, shears, welding tools, grinders, and meters.
  • Capable of reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation.
  • Skilled in using computerized maintenance management systems to log work and manage parts/inventory.
  • Demonstrated troubleshooting and problem-solving skills—with an ability to think critically under pressure.
  • A safety-first mindset—well-versed in LOTO protocols and general maintenance safety standards.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills—capable of working across functions and mentoring junior technicians.
  • Experience with sheet metal and welding.

Responsibilities
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment—presses, shears, conveyors, cranes, welding systems, pneumatic and hydraulic systems using a variety of power and hand tools.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex equipment issues, utilizing prints, schematics, and root cause analysis techniques for fast restoration of operations.
  • Set up machinery and fixtures, adjusting settings to optimize production flow and maintain quality.
  • Read and interpret technical documentation, schematics, and blueprints to execute tasks accurately.
  • Input maintenance data, parts used, and downtime in computer systems; maintain accurate logs and documentation.
  • Collaborate closely with operators, engineers, and management to facilitate smooth operations and troubleshoot recurring issues.
  • Propose and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety, quality, and productivity.
  • Strictly adhere to safety protocols—including LOTO, arc flash avoidance, and other environmental regulations.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to less experienced technicians (Technician I and II), sharing knowledge and best practices.
