Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled Manufacturing Technician to join our team to assemble and test Scentroid products, ensuring high-quality standards and functionality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble electronic components and systems according to technical drawings and assembly instructions.
  • Solder and wire components, including sensors, circuit boards, and connectors.
  • Install and integrate mechanical and electronic subsystems into final products.
  • Conduct functional testing of Scentroid products to verify performance and adherence to specifications.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues identified during testing.
  • Use diagnostic tools and software to ensure product reliability and accuracy.
  • Inspect finished assemblies for defects or deviations from design standards.
  • Occasionally perform calibration of sensors and equipment according to established protocols.
  • Maintain detailed records of assembly, testing, and calibration activities.
  • Provide feedback on design improvements and manufacturing processes.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma or degree in Electronics Engineering Technology, Mechatronics, or a related field is a strong asset
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in electronics assembly and testing
  • Proficiency in soldering, wiring, and working with PCB assemblies
  • Good attention to detail
  • Familiarity with calibration methods for sensors and electronic equipment is an asset
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and quality control standards
  • Experience with 3D printing and laser cutting is an asset
  • Good communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with air quality sensors or environmental monitoring equipment
  • Familiarity with microcontrollers, embedded systems, or IoT technologies
  • Strong computer skills for data logging and testing equipment software
  • Familiarity with 3D modeling software such as SolidWorks

Additional Information:

  • A one-day work trial may be part of the interview process
  • The position includes a 3-month probationary period
  • Work schedule: 8-hour workdays, Monday to Friday
  • Interviews to commence in early February

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $40,000.00-$50,000.00 per year
