Description JE Technology Solutions Inc. is seeking a Manufacturing Technician Supervisor (Assembly) to lead and oversee the daily operations of the assembly team. This role is responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality assembly of products in alignment with production schedules and company standards. The Manufacturing Technician Supervisor provides frontline leadership, drives productivity, ensures adherence to quality and safety requirements, and supports continuous improvement initiatives within the assembly function. This role serves as a key link between production employees and management, ensuring clear communication, accountability, and execution on the shop floor. Key Responsibilities Team Leadership & Supervision Supervise, coach, and support a team of Manufacturing Technicians (Assembly). Assign daily work, monitor progress, and ensure production targets are met. Provide hands-on guidance, training, and performance feedback to team members. Enforce company policies, safety standards, and work procedures. Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement. Production Execution Oversee day-to-day assembly operations to ensure timely and efficient production. Monitor workflow, staffing levels, and material availability to meet production schedules. Identify and resolve production issues in real time to minimize downtime. Ensure proper use of tools, equipment, and assembly techniques. Quality & Compliance Ensure all assembly work meets engineering specifications, quality standards, and customer requirements. Partner with Quality to address defects, non-conformances, and corrective actions. Reinforce quality expectations and ensure adherence to inspection processes. Maintain accurate production and quality records as required. Safety & Work Environment Promote and enforce a safe working environment in compliance with company policies and OSHA standards. Conduct regular safety checks and address hazards promptly. Ensure employees are trained on proper equipment use and safety procedures. Lead by example in maintaining a clean, organized, and compliant work area. Cross-Functional Coordination Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Operations to support production goals. Communicate production status, challenges, and resource needs to Plant Manager. Support new product introductions, process changes, and continuous improvement initiatives. Assist in implementing standardized work and process improvements. Performance Management & Reporting Monitor team performance, productivity, and attendance. Participate in performance evaluations, coaching, and disciplinary actions as needed. Track and report key production metrics, including output, efficiency, quality, and downtime. Support workforce planning, scheduling, and staffing adjustments. Requirements Qualifications & Experience 3–5+ years of experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment, preferably in metal fabrication, industrial manufacturing, or engineered products. Prior experience in a lead or supervisory role within a production or assembly setting. Strong understanding of: Assembly processes and workflow management Production scheduling and throughput Quality standards and inspection processes Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, work instructions, and specifications. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Experience working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven manufacturing environment. Education High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate degree or technical certification in Manufacturing, Industrial Technology, or a related field preferred. Equivalent combination of education and hands-on manufacturing experience will be considered.
