ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Ability read and understand mechanical and electrical technical drawings.
  • ‘Hands-on’ experience in building electrical and mechanical equipment

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • City & Guilds Electrical qualification / 18th Edition Electrical qualification preferable.
  • City & Guilds qualification in Engineering discipline / apprentice trained.
Responsibilities

JOB PURPOSE:

Working within the Manufacturing department to complete initial test and validation of VA Tech systems and equipment, both at VA Tech and worldwide customer locations.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Test and validation of VA systems and equipment at VA Tech and worldwide customer locations
  • Commissioning of VA system and equipment, including:
    ∙ System fault finding and diagnostics
    ∙ Fault rectification

∙ Conducting system wide test and Inspection

  • Conduct system servicing
  • Modification of engineering drawings to support system build and to improve
  • quality
  • Writing procedures and plans
  • Completion of technical documentation including test plans and training modules
  • Be familiar with Risk Assessment and typical Health and Safety Issues in the workplace
  • Construction of mechanical and electrical systems and equipment to engineering drawings.
  • Installation of systems and equipment at customer locations worldwide.
  • Ability to work as part of a team but also on own initiative.
  • Operate within company procedures
