Job Description:

JOB DESCRIPTION

Reporting to the Marketing Communications and Business Development Cluster Head, this position will be a temporary 12-month maternity cover, primarily supporting and assisting the Cluster Head as the Marcoms liaison with NUS Museum. Duties entail:

  • Stewarding the application of a consistent brand identity, positioning and guidelines across all Marcoms and Development work for NUS Museum.
  • Drive comprehensive marketing communications activities to build the branding of NUS Museum and its component units. This includes:

o Campaign Development & Execution
 Design and execute comprehensive, full-funnel marketing initiatives to grow awareness, engage audiences, drive visitorship and utilisation.
 Manage publicity campaigns/outreach and ensure effective rollout of campaign materials across internal and external channels.
o Digital Comms Management
 Manage NUS Museum’s digital channels and media platforms, to drive awareness, consideration and commitment to NUS Museum’s various programmes and services.
 This includes social media channels, websites, email databases, electronic direct mailers, and blogs, in addition to co-ordinating this with other NUS electronic media channels.
 Implement and optimize online management and monitoring tools.
 Conceptualise and produce copy and creatives for all marketing and development collaterals
 Plan and manage digital media buys across different platforms, to drive awareness of and participation in key programmes. This includes platforms such as search engines, display networks, social media and video ad networks.
o Community Engagement
 Formulate and drive direct outreach efforts to key audiences
 Develop meaningful events to target and engage key audiences for NUS Museum
 Manage interactions and engagement with interest groups and key opinion leaders to generate goodwill and groundswell of support for NUS Museum
o Media Management
 Liaise with media outlets and channels – on campus and beyond – to secure editorial coverage. This includes production of media collaterals, such as press releases, factsheets, and photographs.
Leverage existing media relationships and cultivate new contacts.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Literature or related discipline; alternatively, candidates with 4-5 years’ relevant professional experience and a strong portfolio will also be considered.
  • Qualified candidates with experience in corporate communications and marketing in youth, heritage and/or visual arts sectors preferred;
  • Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
  • Proven track record of planning and executing multiple successful, full-funnel marketing campaigns at scale will be an advantage.
  • All-round marketer with strong writing skills, good eye for creative work, familiar with current marketing and social media trends, especially in the area of youth engagement.
  • Preferably, have prior experience working with and taking charge of tertiary-age students, and similar youth groups in a professional capacity.
  • People-oriented, savvy networker who can build rapport quickly with new stakeholders.
  • Fully conversant with the following:
  • Microsoft Office 365 (Teams, Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
  • Meta Business Manager (Including creator studio, Meta Ads Manager)
  • Google Analytics
  • Google Ads
  • YouTube Studio
  • Web CMS (e.g. Wordpress, AEM, Sitefinity)
  • Content and community management at a corporate/professional level for all major social media platforms
  • Canva design software
  • Familiarity with the following:
  • Adobe Creative Cloud (minimally able to manipulate Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign files)
  • Social Media management software (e.g. Socialbakers, Falcon.io, Hootsuite)
  • Video editing software (e.g. Premiere, Final Cut)
