Job Summary The Carpenter is responsible for constructing, repairing, restoring, and installing structural woodwork and related materials as per drawings, sketches and verbal instructions. Key Job Responsibilities * Takes measurements and calculates the size and amount of material needed * Operates stationary power tools, hand power tools and hand tools * Layout, cut and assemble parts such as doors, paneling, boxes, rails and trim * Performs joinery work on vessel to fabricate and fit bulkheads, ceilings, windshield, windows, furniture, cabinet, desks, trims, handrails, cap rails and any other marine related joinery work * Install prefabricated and/or custom parts such as hatches, marine hardware, metal trim and other parts * Applies knowledge of woodworking joints in the marine industry * Builds scaffolding and other construction structures * Able to read technical documents and drawings * Fabricate templates  * Know how to work with acrylic materials  * Following company, industry and best practices regarding safety standards (safe equipment usage, personal protective equipment, reporting) Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
