How you make a difference and get to accomplish as part of our team: Build and install yacht interiors and exterior components including cabinetry, paneling, doors, boxes, rails, trim, and custom joinery. Accurately measure, lay out, and transfer dimensions to marine plywood and related materials using hand and layout tools. Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to execute work with precision and consistency. Perform clean, accurate cuts using table saws, chop saws, and other professional woodworking tools. Apply time-honored marine joinery techniques such as scarf, lap, finger, sill splice, and dovetail joints. Use epoxies, vinylester resins, and marine-grade adhesives to bond components for strength and longevity. Work confidently with yachting terminology and shop practices common to traditional and modern yacht construction. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized workspace that reflects Hinckley’s culture of craftsmanship and pride. Requirements Experience in yacht carpentry, fine woodworking, or marine construction preferred. Strong understanding of marine materials, joinery methods, and adhesives. Ability to read plans and perform accurate measurements, including fractions. Familiarity with safe operation of woodworking machinery and hand tools. Attention to detail, craftsmanship mindset, and commitment to quality. Ability to work independently and as part of a skilled team environment. Physical Requirements: This position is based in a production or custom boatbuilding shop and may require standing for extended periods, lifting materials, and working with power tools and marine construction products.
