Description This position is contingent upon contract award We are seeking a highly qualified Maritime Expeditionary Security Force (MESF) Learning Standards Subject Matter Expert (SME). This critical role requires a seasoned instructional design professional with extensive experience in U.S. Navy training architectures, specifically aligned with Naval Education and Training Command (NETC) standards and MESF curriculum development. The ideal candidate will bridge legacy instructional systems design with modern, AI-driven educational methodologies to deliver high-impact training solutions. Key Responsibilities Support the Course Curriculum Model Manager (CCMM) in their duties for the following curriculum functional areas: - Patrol Boat Operations and Tactical Communications (Ashore and Afloat) - Expeditionary Security Assess and report compliance of MESF curricula and Courses of Instruction (COIs) against OPNAVINST 1500.75 (series), NECCINST 1500.13 (series), NAVEDTRA M-142 guidelines, and other higher-level directives. Provide recommendations to standardize and improve training assessment, qualification standards, and certification processes across all MESG ONE units. Requirements Experience & Certifications Instructional Systems Design (ISD): Minimum of 15 years of documented experience in Instructional Systems Design within a defense or corporate environment. NETC Compliance: Minimum of 15 years of hands-on experience with NETC-compliant course and curriculum development. MESF Expertise: Minimum of 3 years of recent practical experience in MESF curriculum development (gained within the past 5 years). Navy Training Credentials: Must be designated as a Master Training Specialist (MTS). Technical Literacy: Demonstrated fluency in utilizing Civilian and/or Governmental Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools to assist in instructional design tasks and process automation. Education Required: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution. Preferred: Master’s degree in an educational field of study (e.g., Instructional Design, Education Technology, or Adult Education). Skills & Competencies Profound understanding of NAVEDTRA M-142 series manuals (Task Based Curriculum Development) and integrated learning environments. Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex tactical concepts into structured training tracks. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a proven track record of authoring clear, concise government deliverables. Adaptability in integrating emerging AI technologies ethically and securely within government guidelines. Security Clearance Must possess an active SECRET security clearance.
Responsibilities
