Job Description Location Abu Dhabi, UAE / Offshore Sector Oil & Gas / Offshore Marine Services Job Purpose To conduct inspections and surveys on marine vessels, barges, jack-up units, construction barges, and associated marine equipment prior to mobilization or upon arrival at site, ensuring operational suitability and compliance with project marine and HSE standards. We are seeking experienced Marine Consultancy Services Professionals to support offshore marine operations, inspections, engineering reviews, diving supervision, and vessel/barge representation activities for major offshore oil and gas projects. These roles require strong offshore experience, solid understanding of marine safety and operational standards, and the ability to work in demanding offshore project environments. Suitable candidates will be assigned based on project needs across marine inspection, advisory, engineering, diving, and offshore construction support functions. Key Responsibilities Conduct marine and HSE inspections of offshore vessels, barges, jack-up units, and marine equipment. Assess suitability of marine units for the intended scope of work. Verify compliance with marine operating standards, HSE requirements, and offshore technical standards. Review vessel certifications, statutory documentation, maintenance records, and seaworthiness status. Perform condition surveys covering hull, machinery, and equipment. Verify compliance with applicable international marine conventions and offshore best practices. Issue inspection and survey reports within required reporting timelines. Vessel Types May Include Pipeline installation vessels Heavy lift vessels and barges Anchor handling tugs Crew boats Material and transportation barges Survey vessels Diving support vessels DP vessels Towing tugs Jack-up units and drilling rigs Supply vessels Cargo and accommodation vessels Dredging vessels Construction barges Unmanned vessels Qualifications Strong knowledge of OCIMF, IMCA, MODU, GOMO, IMO conventions, SOLAS, MARPOL, and STCW Experience in marine inspections in offshore oil and gas environments Ability to prepare clear technical reports in English Candidates should meet one of the following baseline requirements: Minimum 1 year of experience on major offshore operator projects, or Minimum 1 year as Master, or Minimum 2 years in offshore oil fields as Master certificate holder, including relevant marine certification for applicable functions.
