Job Description Process and analyse samples in the laboratory for phytoplankton, zooplankton, legionella, and microbiological analyses as assigned by the Lab Manager/ section in-charge. Prepare and store of the media and other reagents required for the analysis. Identify and classify marine organisms. Perform the daily/ weekly/ monthly checks as assigned by the Lab Manager/ section in-charge. Perform sample collection and tasks in accordance with approved methodologies, testing protocols, and analytical procedures. Operate, maintain, and properly store lab and marine equipment and sample inventories. Perform media efficacy check, standardization & sterility check as assigned by the section in-charge/ Lab Manager. Perform internal calibration and verification of instruments as instructed by the Lab Manager/ section in-charge. Maintain the cleanliness of the Lab at all times. Monitor contamination and implement corrective actions. Maintain ISO/ IEC 17025, local government requirements, GLP and other relevant Laboratory safety standards. Responsible for reporting the failure samples to the section in-charge on immediate basis. Perform verification/ validation study as assigned by the Lab Manager / section in-charge. Qualifications Ideal candidate should have minimum B.Sc. degree in Microbiology or Marine Biology or relevant discipline Atleast 3 years of experience in Marine Microbiology Familiar with ISO 17025 standard and procedures
