Company Description For one of our French Oil and gas Operator client, we are urgently looking for an Marine Operations Superintendent (MOS) to be based in Port-Harcourt during 12 months minium. Job Description Perform Marine Assurance across project fleet, prior to vessel arrival on and during project. Coordinate, plan and close out findings of pre-on hire vessel inspections Review and comment on Marine procedures as necessary Support from onshore, offshore marine activities to best effect Liaise and co-ordinate with 3rd party surveyor firms to complete SOW, for our associated vessels for client requirements Assist with vessel mobilizations and liaise with vessel owners for any matters during the mobilization / de-mobilization, and charter period Liaise with and assist as required to marine related Operations Coordinate internally across departments to best aid vessel mobilisation and operations on day-to-day basis Coordinate externally with Clients, Vessel Owners, Subcontractors etc. Raise Purchase Requisitions through SAP for Marine Operations Department and all projects as required. Maintain a company-based filing system and a database system for all relevant project data Be proactive in dealing with vessel issues to progress the project on both time and budget Lead and support a positive HSE culture and behaviour, with emphasis on marine operations Qualifications Certificate of competency as either Chief Engineer or Master Mariner, and to have sailed in the role Relevant experience in the offshore O&G industry Detailed knowledge of DP, MARPOL, Class, local and international marine rules Relevant experience as Marine Superintendent or Port Captain or similar Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, and Power Point). Fluent in both spoken and written English; good communication and interpersonal skills Passport, Visa and Medical Ability to multitask, prioritise, achieve deadlines, and to work independently Proactive and curious. Responsibilities
The Marine Operations Superintendent will perform marine assurance across the project fleet and coordinate vessel inspections. They will also liaise with various stakeholders to ensure effective vessel mobilization and operations.
