As a Marine Bottom Painter, you’ll play a vital role in preserving the iconic finish and presentation that defines every Hinckley vessel. The Marine Painter is responsible for the preparation, application, setup, and breakdown of various boats. The ideal candidate will have experience in the marine industry. Surface Preparation: Prepare boat surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and smoothing. Mask and protect adjacent surfaces.? Set Up/Breakdown: Set up and dismantle scaffolding or staging in compliance with OSHA guidelines. Clean spray equipment and work area using appropriate solvents and cleaning agents.? Application: Mix and match and apply paint colors and finish according to specifications and customer requirements. ? Quality Control: Comply with company standards and customer satisfaction.?Follow detailed instructions, safety protocols, and company procedures to maintain a safe work environment.? Other: All duties as assigned. Requirements Experience: Minimum two (2)?years of painting experience, preferably in boat building and/or marine repairs. Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 50 pounds and be on your feet for a prolonged period.? Certifications: Must hold a valid driver’s license.? Pre-Employment: All applicants must be able to successfully pass a background check as a condition of employment.? Qualifications Proficient in the use of painting tools and equipment, including sanders, polishers, and masking materials. Knowledge of surface preparation and painting techniques. Familiar with environmental safety standards. Work Environment Location: On-site? Conditions: Requires working in all weather conditions.
