JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a skilled Marine Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mechanical and electrical systems, with the ability to troubleshoot and repair various marine equipment. This role requires a combination of technical expertise and excellent customer service skills to ensure our clients receive top-notch support for their marine vessels.

EXPERIENCE

Candidates should have experience in the following areas:

  • Service technician experience in a relevant field, preferably marine.
  • Ability to assess, diagnose and repair outboard, inboard/outboard and/or diesel engines.
  • Ability to spring commission and winterize boats of all makes & models.
  • Maintenance and repairs to boat mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Experience with sheet metal work, rigging, and welding is advantageous.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Valid Driver’s License with own transportation and hand tools.
  • Familiarity with maintenance tools and equipment
  • Ability to handle physical workload
  • Attention to detail and deadlines
  • Good time management
  • The Ideal Candidate will have at least 2 year’s experience with
    gasoline outboard, inboard/outboard, diesel engines and drive systems.
    Job Type: Full-time
    Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
    Expected hours: No more than 40 per week

Responsibilities
  • Perform maintenance and repairs on marine engines, electrical systems, and other equipment.
  • Problem solving and willingness to tackle any task independently and efficiently.
  • Interpret schematics and technical drawings to diagnose issues effectively.
  • Utilize hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments for assembly and repairs.
  • Conduct rigging, welding, and fabrication tasks as needed.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding repairs and maintenance needs.
  • Execute heavy lifting tasks safely while adhering to safety protocols.
  • Maintain accurate records of services performed and parts used.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality service delivery.
