About us
Boatspray Ltd is a specialist marine painting and refinishing company servicing vessels across Auckland from our purpose-built Half Moon Bay facility, with some mobile work across the region. Immediate start available. PPE and all equipment provided.
Role
Permanent, full-time. Guaranteed minimum 30 hours per week. Typical 40 hours Monday to Friday, with additional hours during seasonal peaks by agreement. Location is Half Moon Bay Marina with occasional off-site work around Auckland.

Key tasks

• · Surface preparation including sanding, masking and fairing
• · Spray application to high-gloss finish using HVLP and other systems
• · Minor fibreglass and gelcoat repair, colour matching and finishing
• · Quality checks against job specs and manufacturer data sheets
• · Safe use, cleaning and storage of spray equipment and materials
• · Adherence to H&S procedures and marina rules

Skills and experience

• · At least two years’ recent experience in marine, automotive or industrial spray painting to gloss level
• · Confident with spray equipment setup, mixing ratios and application techniques
• · Good eye for finish quality and detail
• · Physically fit and able to work in a workshop and boatyard environment
• · Current NZ driver licence preferred
• · Two recent referees who can comment on trade performance
