Overview
Rix Shipping was formed in 1950 making it the oldest company within the JR Rix & Sons group of companies. A family-owned business with a history spanning more than 140 years. Due to continued business growth, Rix Shipping are looking to add a Marine Stores Keeper who will also be responsible for delivery driving, to their experienced team.
The Role:
As a Marine Stores Keeper & Delivery Driver you will be responsible for managing marine stores, coordinating deliveries, and ensuring timely distribution of parts to our fleet & fleet engineers.

Stores Management:

• Receive, inspect, and store marine-related goods and supplies
• Maintain accurate inventory records and report discrepancies
• Ensure stock levels are adequate, and reorder supplies as needed

Delivery & Logistics:

• Safely transport goods to vessels
• Coordinate delivery schedules around operations
• Interact with clients, suppliers, and team members

Administrative Tasks:

• Maintain records of deliveries, inventory, and transactions
• Assist with procurement and purchasing processes

The successful candidate will:

• Have a proven track record in stores management, logistics or a similar role
• strong organizational and management skills
• Excellent communication skills
• The ability to maintain and input data accurately
• Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
• Marine industry experience or certificates is an advantage but not essential
