Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are looking for an experienced Marine or Structural Engineer to lead the technical engineering aspects of a hospitality-based yacht project in Dubai Marina. This is not a traditional yacht — it includes restaurant spaces, guest lounges, jet ski docking, and entertainment zones. The ideal candidate will ensure the vessel’s design, materials, and construction meet structural, stability, and regulatory requirements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform structural calculations, load analysis, and stability checks of the yacht platform.
  • Work closely with the concept designer and fabricators to convert 3D concepts into executable engineering drawings.
  • Recommend and approve appropriate materials, construction techniques, and marine systems (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, bilge, etc.)
  • Ensure the yacht complies with Dubai Maritime City Authority (DMCA), UAE Coast Guard, and international maritime safety standards (SOLAS, ABS, etc.).
  • Inspect and supervise construction, welding, hull assembly, anchoring systems, and propulsion integration (if applicable).
  • Design and/or validate jet ski bay and boarding structures for safety and function.
  • Provide risk analysis, maintenance projections, and durability recommendations.
  • Coordinate with classification societies and marine consultants as needed.
