OVERVIEW

We are looking for an experienced and reliable Marine Technician to join our team, specializing in recreational boats. This role involves the installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical and electrical systems on a wide range of powerboats and pleasure crafts. The ideal candidate has a minimum of 5 years of hands-on marine technician experience, and is comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, customer focused environment.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience as a marine technician ( recreational boating preferred)
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
  • Familiarity with common marine systems; propulsion, fuel, steering, HVAC, and bilge systems
  • Ability to work on-site at marinas, docks, or at a customers location
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Factory certifications from Mercury Marine, Yamaha or other major marine engine manufacturers
  • Experience with marine diagnostics tools and software
  • ABYC or NMEA certifications
  • Welding, fiberglass repair, or rigging experience is a plus

    Pay: $18.64-$38.01 per hour
    Expected hours: 40 – 44 per week

Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and propulsion systems on recreational boats.
  • Install and troubleshoot marine electronics including GPS, VHF radios, depth sounders, and navigation systems.
  • Service and repair outboard and inboard engines, particularly Mercury and Volvo Penta.
  • Conduct sea trials and system tests as needed
  • Maintain accurate service records and communicate effectively with the service managers and customers.
  • Ensure all work complies with safety standards and manufacture guidelines
