We are looking for a skilled Boat & Trailer Technician to join our growing team at Sherwood Marine Centre. In this hands-on role, you’ll be responsible for the maintenance and repair of a wide variety of trailerable boats and trailers, helping ensure our customers enjoy safe, reliable, and adventure-ready vessels.
This is a great opportunity for someone who thrives in a fun, team-oriented environment, has solid mechanical experience, and is eager to work with boats, trailers, and marine systems.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Proven experience as a technician or mechanic (marine or automotive industry preferred)
  • Strong welding and metal fabrication skills
  • Solid knowledge of electrical systems related to trailers and boats
  • Valid Driver’s License required
  • Physically fit and capable of lifting/moving heavy parts and equipment
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
  • Customer service skills and a professional, friendly attitude
Responsibilities
  • Perform maintenance and repairs on trailerable boats and their associated trailers
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical systems including brakes, axles, suspensions, and bearings
  • Conduct electrical troubleshooting and repairs on trailer and boat systems (e.g., lighting, wiring, brake controllers)
  • Weld and fabricate metal components to maintain trailer integrity and fit custom needs
  • Safely lift and maneuver heavy equipment during service procedures
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to all safety guidelines
  • Assist customers and team members with questions regarding maintenance and repairs
  • Perform pre-delivery inspections to ensure customer satisfaction
