KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Accountability for the underwriting of an assigned book of business and accounts.
Support the Head of Marine in the successful execution of the Marine plan; adjusting strategies and actions to meet the needs of a changing marketplace; effectively preserve and enhance profitability through product development and enhancement; pricing discipline, competitive analysis and the development of business-enhancing performance metrics and controls.
Executing underwriting strategy and foster continuous improvement of guidelines and processes.
Contribute to the delivery branch Marine P&L of all key metrics.
Conduct peer reviews within the department.
Business development and execution of yearly business and budget planning.
Provide insurance solutions & broader risk management support to clients most complex risks and challenges.
Support the development of business and marketing plan, building brand and product awareness through broker market.
Expanding and enhancing the current product range to allow Everest to compete with the market leaders in the sector.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
Marine expert with extensive Underwriting experience in the Italian marketplace
Demonstrated ability to generate profitable new business and proven record of delivering meaningful underwriting profit.
Proven people and skills, team player
Highly collaborative and able to work effectively with peers.
Strong technical background, problem solving analytical skills, and ability to connect data analytics with strategic deliverables to drive underwriting strategy
