Responsibilities

Responsibility for the implementation of the marine underwriting strategy within Marine Global Risks (Auto OEM, Commodities and Project Cargo)
Development of coverage concepts in cooperation with our branch offices (co-underwriting)
Decision regarding pricing and scope of cover
Assumption of responsibility for the underwriting decision
Portfolio steering regarding Marine Global Risks based on defined key performance indicators
Implementation and maintenance of underwriting guidelines and standards (expert groups, audit, UW governance)
Promoting collaboration with related functions in home office as well as between home office and branch offices
Supporting the training and professional development of underwriters
