The mission of Port of Seattle’s High School Internship Program is to build diverse talent pathways into Port of Seattle careers. As a high school intern, you will learn about Port industries and develop the competencies of our future workforce, including project management, public speaking, professional networking, and team leadership. You will work with a team to complete a project and will give a final presentation to internal and external stakeholders. Maritime interns will collaborate with the Community Engagement team to develop a suite of maritime-focused field trips and experiential learning activities for Duwamish Valley youth. You will participate in a wide range of career exploratory activities, such as: Learning about workplace expectations. Meeting with mentors for personal and professional coaching. Participating in on-site and behind-the-scenes tours of Port facilities. Developing technology skills and fluency with Microsoft Office products.
