If so, we’re looking for a Technical & Operations Coordinator to join our office in Fremantle, WA, on a permanent full-time basis. You will work closely with our Technical Superintendent and Operations Superintendent to provide support to for vessels and crew across Albany, Bunbury and Geraldton. You’ll work closely with an experienced port team while gaining exposure to vessel maintenance, regulatory compliance, contractor engagement, and on the ground operational support. You’ll also have the chance to regularly travel to our regional ports, build strong relationships with crew, and see first hand how your work contributes to safe, efficient towage operations across Western Australia. How You’ll Make a Difference Reporting to the Port Manager, your key responsibilities will include: Assisting with technical and operational tasks to support for vessels and crew across Albany, Bunbury and Geraldton Monitoring vessel planned maintenance systems and supporting documentation requirements Assisting with vessel survey compliance, statutory obligations, and classification requirements Supporting the planning and delivery of operational and technical projects and maintenance works Engaging contractors for repairs, maintenance and shore facility needs Coordinating the ordering, delivery and management of parts, consumables and stores Helping ensure safety equipment is maintained, repaired or replaced, with accurate documentation Providing practical, onsite support to operations as required What You’ll Bring To thrive in this role, you’ll bring: Experience within the maritime sector, such as towage, offshore, fishing, or shipbuilding A desire to grow into an onshore technical or operations career An understanding of vessel certification, surveys, or statutory compliance requirements Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities The ability to interpret technical drawings and data A calm and respectful communication style when working with internal and external stakeholders Solid computer literacy and confidence using business systems and Microsoft Office High attention to detail and the ability to work with confidential information A valid Western Australia C-Class driver’s licence Building a Diverse Workplace In Svitzer we value the diversity of our talent and will always strive to recruit the best person for the job – we value diversity in all its forms, including but not limited to gender, age, nationality, race, sexual orientation, disability, or religious beliefs.
