UNHS is hiring a Full-Time (FT) position for a Cashier. Location: Montezuma Creek, Utah Full-time Benefits include: PTO leave, Vacation hours, Holiday pay, full medical insurance, Life insurance, 5% of gross to a 403b retirement account. Wellness benefits. Optional coverage for dental, short/long term disability. Requirements Obtains food and/or supplies from the storeroom. Stocks and cleans. Independently resolves customer service issues. Performs accurate cash/credit transactions according to corporate standards. Balances and reconciles the drawer. Knows menu, portion, and price prior to meal service to provide appropriate service to customers, including answering questions and serving food. Sets up and services catered functions according to requested level and scope of service. Performs food preparation functions (following standard recipes, assembling ingredients), for example, prepares salads, sandwiches, vegetables, and fruit. Understands modified diets and prepares modified recipes using appropriate techniques. Maintains an organized and sanitary working environment. Maintains proper quantities of production with appropriate rotation of product. Performs housekeeping functions including cleaning and sanitizing surfaces, floor care, and equipment (oven, fryer, hoods). Follows HACCP standards. Other duties assigned by the Sous Chef or Executive Chef. Provides a comfortable and inviting environment for colleagues and customers. Friendly greeting in a clear high voice “Good Morning, how may I help you?” “Good Afternoon, how may I help you?” Continuously wiping tables in the dining area. Meet the needs of customers and talk in a friendly manner. Providing Excellent Customer Service Receipt Management Market Inventory management Temperature Logs Record Keeping Team Collaboration Required Qualifications This position requires the following qualifications: Education & Experience: Requisite to adequately fulfill the duties and responsibilities of this position. High school diploma or equivalent. Language Skills: Fluently read, write, and speak the English language. Math Skills: General math skills required. Reasoning Ability: Ability to reason and creatively problem solve. Interpersonal Skills: Ability to interact with co-workers, managers, administration, and medical staff in a professional and courteous manner. Computer Skills: General computer skills required, as well as knowledge and ability to use the payment system and Microsoft Office suite. Other Requirements: Must have one year of food service or cashier experience and Possess a valid Food Handler Card As a Tribal Organization, Utah Navajo Health System, Inc. (UNHS) treats patients with high risk and underlying chronic medical conditions. Therefore, UNHS requires its employees to show proof of immunization prior to their employment with UNHS or during their employment. Below is a list of immunizations/vaccinations required to be employed or to continue employment with UNHS. The immunizations/vaccinations include but are not limited to the following: MMR (Measles Rubeola, Mumps, Rubella): Documentation of two MMR vaccines (OR) Documentation of MMR titers. Complete Hepatitis B vaccine series (3 doses), documented proof of titers indicating immunity, or a declination that may be signed upon arrival. Proof of up-to-date PPD skin testing, if previously negative (OR) Proof of positive PPD skin test with the most recent chest x-ray and treatment history. Tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis (Tdap). Varicella titers, history of varicella or varicella immunization series. Influenza vaccine for the current year. Any other vaccinations as requested.
