Summary: A Market Clerk is responsible for supporting all Market Department operations by maintaining a clean work environment and organized, merchandised food displays. A Market Clerks duties include obtaining or receiving and stocking merchandise, assisting the Market Manager with placing orders, and providing outstanding customer service to all Guests. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Stocks shelves, counters, or tables with merchandise. 2. Sets up advertising displays or arranges merchandise on counters or tables to promote sales. 3. Hangs correct shelf labels and sale signs in front of correct products using UPC# and date range as exclusive criteria. 4. Follows and enforces “Lassen's Market Stocking & Facing Policy”. 5. Follows and enforces “Lassen's Special Order Policy & Procedures”. 6. Obtains merchandise requested by customer or receives merchandise selected by customer. 7. Provides outstanding customer service and answers Guest’s questions concerning location, price, and use of merchandise. 8. Cleans shelves, counters, or tables. 9. Keeps record of sales, prepares inventory of stock, and orders merchandise. 10. All other duties assigned by management.
