Description
Manage relationships with data vendors, serving as the primary contact for sourcing within the firm. Handle negotiations for renewals and new contracts, managing the entire contractual lifecycle according to firm guidelines. Collaborate with data providers, technology teams, and internal clients and colleagues to understand and align data strategies and drive maximize value. Develop and maintain deep knowledge of each vendor to provide strategic recommendations, including utilizing industry knowledge to enhance the way the Firm does business with these providers. Manage the strategic aspects of product demonstrations, pilot projects, and opportunities for competitive displacement. Work closely with Legal, Finance, and Business Management to resolve any contractual, commercial, compliance, or relationship issues. At least 6 years in finance and/or banking. Candidate should possess financial services experience, particularly in managing supplier engagements and a broad range of consumer relationships. Requires strong skills in negotiating complex agreements, with a deep understanding of data usage compliance and intellectual property rights. Must be intellectually curious, detail-oriented, and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of influencing and gaining support for market data strategies. Proactive, self-sufficient, and adaptable team player with the ability to analyze and clarify ambiguous requirements and business needs and translate them into actionable plans. Should have robust project management and organizational skills, proficient in Excel and PowerPoint, and ideally some knowledge of Ariba and/or FITS-Market Data Inventory system.
