Responsibilities
  • Demand Creation: You will work cross-functionally to implement local launch activities for vegetable varieties (NVIs = New Variety Introduction) and/or solutions. Your role will involve demonstrating value and providing technical recommendations that support customer success. You will organize portfolio demos and agronomy events to generate demand, while being responsible for the Squad P&L in collaboration with your squad peers.
  • Generate Portfolio Agronomy Knowledge & Recommendations: You will coordinate and conduct performance, demand generation, and value-added (PCM4, CM) trials for portfolio and solution development under local farming conditions. This will involve working with internal and external commercial stakeholders, including customers. You will ensure timely project completion, and the integrity of the data collected, while communicating actionable insights from applied field research based on sound data analysis using appropriate and scientifically rigorous methods.
  • Innovation & Digital: You will embrace digital tools and technologies, utilizing data and insights to offer customer-focused solutions and enhance the capabilities of dealers and partners. Your goal will be to generate high-quality data and insights to strengthen our understanding of portfolio potential and customer needs.
  • Knowledge Transfer, Recommendation & Coaching: You will share agronomic and portfolio knowledge, as well as market and competitor insights. Your advice on crop production and management best practices will be tailored to our customers. You will provide timely and consistent guidance to strengthen specific knowledge and skill areas among diverse stakeholder groups, positioning products, demonstrating value, and providing technical recommendations that support customer success. Additionally, you will execute agronomy training for internal teams, dealers, distributors, and growers on the key Features, Advantages, and Benefits of the vegetable product portfolio and innovative solutions.
  • Business Engagement & Planning: You will secure alignment with the relevant commercial strategy and influence the strategic direction of breeding and research programs through market trend analysis, competitive landscape assessment, and new technology exploration.
  • Collaboration: You will build strong collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders and strategic influencers across the agriculture and technology industries to provide technical solutions that extend beyond advancements in genetic gain. You will work cross-functionally on events (field days, grower summits, grower meetings, etc.) to generate demand for the vegetable portfolio at the customer level.
