Description The Market Development Specialist is a new-business-focused sales role responsible for opening doors, acquiring new customers, and driving early growth. This role is designed for individuals who thrive in face-to-face environments, enjoy initiating conversations, and are motivated by performance-based earnings. The role focuses on new customer acquisition rather than managing existing accounts. This position will be field based and onsite at our Monroe location in a hybrid role. Key Responsibilities: • Identify and pursue new customer opportunities through door-to-door visits and outbound prospecting. • Initiate conversations and quickly assess prospect interest and fit. • Build trust rapidly and communicate value clearly. • Secure first orders and work toward repeat and third orders. • Track activity and progress in required systems. • Partner with internal teams to transition established accounts. • Meet or exceed new account and growth targets. Requirements Ideal Candidate: • Enjoys meeting new people and initiating conversations. • Comfortable with rejection and objections. • Self-motivated and performance-driven. • Prefers field-based, independent work over desk-based roles. • Motivated by growth opportunities and uncapped earning potential. Preferred Background: • Food service or hospitality (e.g., waiter, bartender, host). • Door-to-door or outbound B2B sales. • Customer-facing roles involving upselling and persuasion. • Purchasing, procurement, merchandising, or replenishment within food service. Formal sales titles are not required.
