What if it was you? Your mission: We are looking for a Market Infrastructure specialist with a strong expertise in the “European Market Infrastructure Regulation” (EMIR) and “Markets in Financial Instruments Regulation” (MIFIR) to join our team. The ideal candidate possesses extensive knowledge both from an operational and regulatory point of view of Market Infrastructure topics and has already gained experience in the role of a consultant, is highly motivated to help building up our tailored service offering and wants to help our clients optimize their business in the context of advisory projects. You will be working in a team creating and developing initiatives and ideas. Your role will encompass all areas of operations / regulations – with a focus on market infrastructure – for a variety of financial services firms including banks, management companies and AIFMs. Your responsibilities will be: Be a part of our team where you will take over following tasks: Advise clients on market infrastructure related aspects and support them in coping with their operational, business, technological or regulatory challenges; Ongoing screening / assessment of upcoming regulatory changes and their potential impacts on the financial services industry in Luxembourg; Develop and execute regular trainings – as well internally for our teams and externally for our clients/their teams on both operational (e.g. trading, settlement) and regulatory topics (e.g. EMIR, MIFIR); Help recognizing trends, identifying opportunities, supporting commercial initiatives, prepare/lead client discussions, manage/contribute to the preparation of proposals and active work on projects – incl. daily management of project teams; Coach and train less experienced team members on market infrastructure topics; Support adequate and competent representation of PwC Luxembourg in the framework of local industry association’s working groups and events. If you… Graduated with a degree from a university, engineering school, or business school; Have ideally 5+ years of professional experience in consulting or within a relevant financial services firm; Are familiar with financial instruments, including derivatives and securities; Understand pre- and post-trade operations (including clearing, settlement, and collateralization); Possess strong knowledge of EMIR and MiFIR regulations, including their technical standards and reporting requirements; Benefit from a very good understanding of Luxembourg’s financial industry and the current regulatory framework applicable to Luxembourg-based firms; Work with an analytical mindset and base your work on strategic guidelines; Bring strong communication and presentation skills; Have good people skills and enjoy working as part of a team; Are highly proficient in English.
