SKILLS + QUALIFICATIONS

• Fifteen or more years of experience in the architecture or design field is required.
• A degree in architecture and registration is preferred but not required.
• 5 or more years of discovery and science industry expertise is required.
• Strong client relationship-building experience.
• Demonstrated ability to take initiative and be a self-starter is important.
• A drive to achieve extraordinary and consistent results.
• Candidates must possess the ability to demonstrate organizational savvy and build strategic relationships.
• Experience with the Sander Sales Process is preferred.

YOUR ROLE + THE OPPORTUNITY

As the Market Leader, you have the opportunity to play a key role within the firm leading our emerging Discovery + Science market. The Market Leader is responsible for developing and achieving the overall market growth strategy aligned with the firm objectives and financial goals. In addition, this role is responsible for developing and overseeing the client relationship strategy and serving as the lead contact for strategic client relationships. This role will also have the opportunity to identify current and future talent needs and support career growth and engagement plans for the employees within the market. The successful candidate for this role will work out of the Cincinnati, Columbus, Charlotte or Raleigh location, with Raleigh being preferred.

THE ROLE PRIORITIES

• Develop, lead, and communicate the market strategy and business plan in alignment with the firm’s current and future goals and objectives.
• Achieve the market’s financial and business goals, including net revenue performance, sales, profitability, and chargeability results.
• Identify and develop the strategic vision for targeted client relationships with multiple new and existing clients and oversee the sales team’s execution of the plans.
• Provide oversight to the client projects ensuring adherence to our BHDP Design Process and operational management tools supporting proper resource planning, forecasting, and project budget delivery.
• Oversee the staffing plans for the market to develop internal talent and partner with the People team to recruit key external talent as needed.
• Build a business leader network with key Discover + Science industry influencers.
• Establish yourself as a thought leader within the Discover + Science market and the Design industry to bring new and innovative thoughts, trends, and ideas to our clients and the firm.
• Proactively provide perspective and strategic recommendations to clients, adding value to their business as a trusted partner and advisor.
• Present BHDP Discover + Science market-focused thought leadership at professional national organization conferences attended by existing and prospective Discover + Science clients.
• Travel expectations will vary for this role with an anticipated range of 30% - 40% of the time.
