MARKET OPERATIONS MANAGER – LONDON, UK
“Global Futures and Options Ltd (GFO-X)”, a UK FCA-authorised and regulated MTF, is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer to join our growing team in London, UK.
GFO-X is the UK’s first regulated and centrally cleared trading venue dedicated to digital asset derivatives. GFO-X has partnered with LCH SA which will offer clearing of Bitcoin index futures and options contracts traded on GFO-X, subject to regulatory approval. This will be made available through a new segregated clearing service, LCH DigitalAssetClear. GFO-X services large global institutional participants who require a regulated, institutional-grade trading venue for digital asset derivatives, including bitcoin index futures and options.
We are seeking to hire a Market Operations Manager to join our growing team in London. Reporting to our Head of Operations, you will be part of a dynamic and experienced team bringing the features of traditional derivative markets to the rapidly expanding digital asset arena.
In this role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the Operations and Onboarding team and play a pivotal role in implementing improvements, new products, and new features.

The candidate we seek will possess some Project and BA skillsets and a proven track record of managing an Operations team.
The role will involve liaising with various internal departments, including Sales and Membership, Compliance, Trade Surveillance, Finance and Risk, Technology, and IT Support, as well as interacting with our member clients, external vendors, and GFO-X CCP partner.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum 10+ years of working experience in operations management role
- Degree holder in a related field (finance, technology, business administration, etc) or equivalent industry experience preferred.
- Exposure to institutional grade exchange platforms – Eurex, CME, ICE
- Knowledge of financial products, including equities, commodities, bonds, and derivatives, is a must.
- Knowledge of MIFID Pre and post-trade, instrument, and transaction reporting preferred but not essential
- Knowledge of operational workflows and processes
- Good organisational skills with a strategic mindset.
- Experience with tools such as JIRA, CONFLUENCE, TEAMS, EXCEL, WORD
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and highly collaborative environment.
- Strong communication skills and fluent spoken and written English.

Responsibilities:
- Day-to-day running of Operations
- Start of Day: Making sure the Venue Opens in an orderly fashion and dealing with any issues that may arise
- During the Day: Monitoring of the Venue, dealing with issues and client requests
- End Of Day: Making sure our end-of-day obligations is met with our CCP partner, FCA reporting, and internal controls and checks are run
- Significant input into new Projects, such as new features, new Product launches
- Drive operational efficiencies to continually automate and improve our Operational processes and controls
- Oversight of Onboarding, making sure that any new client or vendor onboard runs smoothly and existing clients/vendors are receiving a “Platinum” service
- Play an active role in recruitment for the team as we expand
