KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • Tertiary degree in Business, Supply Chain Management or related fields
  • 3-5 years of related experience in supply chain management, including supply planning, warehousing, distribution, logistics, transportation, customer service, or inventory planning
  • Detailed working knowledge of effective Supply Chain performance, including Operations management
  • Significant experience in prioritization and the ability to adapt to change
  • APICS certification is desirable
  • Advanced excel skills are required
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to judge when to deep dive.
  • Extensive knowledge of import/export regulations
  • Proficient in Rapid Response or other relevant planning systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively collaborate with others, including influencing, communication, negotiating, and conflict management in a geographically diverse, matrix organization
  • Fundamental project management abilities and lean/continuous improvement approach
  • Customer-focused with a service approach.
Responsibilities

THE ROLE

We are seeking a highly skilled Market Planner to join our team, responsible for managing inventory at the country or cluster level. The successful candidate will play a critical role in monitoring and mitigating supply exceptions within their market, while driving effective communication between various stakeholders across the broader Baxter business.
Reporting to the Planning and Demand Manager you will drive effective communication between commercial, customer support, quality, regulatory affairs, network planners, and fulfillment teams in order to develop and implement strategies to communicate gaps between inventory and customer demand. You will come with hands on experience within Supply Planning, risk management and order management accountabilities.

This is a 6-month fixed term role base at the Baxter Old Toongabbie office working in a hybrid arrangement.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and own the inventory plan and execution for the market, driving inventory optimization opportunities and deployment
  • Analyze and report inventory variance, ensuring continuous improvement
  • Lead the communication strategy to the commercial team for supply issues, including conducting commercial meetings to review pipelines and manage country fulfillment
  • Communicate necessary parameter adjustments for cluster/country with network planners, demand planners, commercial, and other collaborators
  • Resolve, communicate, and advance low cover products, proactively managing back-order risks and supply issues within responsible markets
  • Lead strategic stock build planning driven by import license registration, M&A, and supply issues, influencing multiple collaborators to ensure informed decisions
  • Complete outstanding order management tasks, such as monitoring/maintaining inbound POs and resolving short-term supply issues
  • Monitor customer limits and rebalance product allocation in cooperation with marketing partners
  • Apply stock allocation processes to ensure supply continuity in case of market instability
  • Provide country or market-level feedback to network planners and Coordinated Planning Manager
  • Manage new product launches and product phase-outs within the market
  • Update JDE sourcing to direct DP forecast to the accurate BP, subject to geographies and local processes/ownership
  • Build and maintain reports for the commercial team, including transfer orders and customer-specific reports
  • Confirm transfer orders for products imported to their country/cluster of responsibility using Rapid Response and associated systems and reports
  • Make decisions and promptly raise for all supply issue resolutions for imported products
  • Complete monthly reserve proposals, identifying and communicating opportunities for discard avoidance
  • Follow global performance metrics for system maintenance and ownership (JDE/Rapid Response).
