We are hiring an Analyst - Market Reporting on a contract for approximately 6 months. This role is suitable for someone who can work 40 hours a week between Monday and Friday in an internship, coop or contract role paid hourly. Some flexibility for school schedules may be allowed in certain circumstances.
The Analyst – Market Reporting is responsible for providing the organization with fast, accurate, and meaningful data through our Tableau system. This information will enable fact-based business strategies and decisions for the Sales, Marketing, and Customer Solutions teams. The role includes collecting, cleaning, and preparing data to give APL a stronger competitive advantage by effectively understanding and leveraging Big Data. It also supports the development and improvement of analytics tools for the Sales and Marketing teams. Working collaboratively with the Business Insights team, the Analyst will ensure the market data database is always accurate and up to date. We are seeking someone who is driven, insight-minded, and capable of leading complex, data-heavy projects.
What this teammate will do -

Lead Project Manager for Tableau (Data Visualization Tool)

  • Data Preparation & Quality Assurance – Collect, Clean, and prepare raw datasets into clean, organized, and reliable formats for analysis. This includes validating data accuracy, resolving inconsistencies, and ensuring reporting-ready outputs
  • Project lead for maintaining a correct database, this includes reviewing data monthly for corrections, implementing mass changes for attributes where needed, and validating new data from external partners before uploading
  • Work with a cross functional team to gather requirements to build new dashboards in house
  • Continually facilitating improvements to APL reporting, working with Sales and Marketing leadership teams to gather feedback on what is providing value, assessing what aspects need to be improved, and executing those changes
  • Develop new national reporting to track competitive and internal brand performance and product innovations, along with providing automated causals as to what’s driving brand performance
  • Working with external liquor boards, data administrators and external developers to import data quicker then we are currently processing it, and providing value to the organization by having the most recent data available

Support Customer Solutions & Business Insights

  • Managing all standard and automated reporting for Business Insights and Category, ensuring timely and correct data for reporting impacting all levels of B2B & B2C
  • Providing data driven research to support Sales & Marketing initiatives on an ad hoc basis, including channel, category, and brand performance research
  • Supporting highly data intensive projects led by the Customer Solutions & Business Insights team

What this teammate will bring -

  • Working towards bachelor’s degree preferred, Economics, Business or Computer Sciences Bachelors or related area.
  • Experience with analysis, data cleaning, and preparation is an asset.
  • Proficient in analytics, mathematics/statistics and highly comfortable with sales analysis
  • Advanced skills using excel spreadsheet and presentation tools.
  • Strong project management skills and proven ability to lead cross-functional mandates and deliver actionable insights.
  • Strong relationship management skills; ability to collaborate and rally key business partners (clients, agencies, internal partners) around new projects.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Performs well in an environment with competing priorities and multiple projects.
