QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering, economic or business related field
  • With more than 3 years’ experience in research
  • Experience working in engineering, construction industry
  • Knowledge of MS Office applications, ideally in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Knowledgeable in primary and secondary research techniques
Responsibilities

ROLE DESCRIPTION:

  • The overarching objective of this role is to provide support in gathering insights that will enable involved stakeholders to make data-driven decisions. This will be achieved by:
  • Working with the stakeholders to identify the scope of research
  • Identifying appropriate data sources and using them to gather information about Arcadis, its competitors, and various markets we operate in
    Analysis of the information and its presentation in various formats and to various audiences

ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:

Scoping the research projects

  • Participate in research scoping discussions to understand the purpose of the research, the best methodology to be used
  • Work with management to prioritize business and information needs;

Information gathering

  • Identify the best sources of data and work with senior colleagues on verifying their applicability and shortcomings
  • Use provided tools to gather and store the data collected from various published and unpublished sources to supplement market understanding and data collected from various market research initiatives
  • For regular and on-going initiatives, update the database on regular basis

Analysis

  • Check the quality of data to be used (consistency, gaps, is it fit for the purpose)
  • Perform qualitative and quantitative analysis, depending on the task
  • Support colleagues in their analyses
  • Organize the data and make sure it is stored properly
  • Perform both individual research projects as well as part of the bigger team

Presentation

  • Extract the key information from complex sources and simplify it
  • Present the insights and data in various formats: graphs, presentations, short reports
  • Based on the insights, formulate recommendations
  • Provide regular market research reports including searches on our key clients, key projects, industry news and competitors;
  • Other administrative tasks as needed
