Description

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Market Research, Business Administration, Marketing, Statistics, Economics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years in Market Research, preferably within manufacturing, consumer goods, or home improvement industry.

Principal Responsibilities:

In-depth Market Analysis

  • Conduct comprehensive studies of the sanitary ware and bathroom fixture markets, using both primary and secondary research methods.
  • Identify, analyze, and interpret patterns or trends that may impact HCG’s market strategy.
  • Prepare regular updates on market dynamics and evolving consumer demands, ensuring the Product Development team has current insights.

Competitor and Benchmark Analysis

  • Monitor and assess competitor products, price points, branding strategies, and market performance.
  • Conduct benchmarking studies to evaluate HCG’s products against competitors and identify gaps or opportunities for differentiation.
  • Maintain a competitor intelligence database, ensuring data is readily available for strategic planning and product development.

Customer Insight Generation and User Persona Development

  • Develop detailed user personas based on the Market Research data to guide the Product Development and Marketing.
  • Use various research methods (e.g., surveys, focus groups, filed studies) to gain a deeper understanding of customer needs, purchasing behaviors, and pain points.
  • Translate insights into specific product features, quality standards, or design elements that enhance customer satisfaction.

Product Development and Concept Validation

  • Test and validate new product concepts through user research and feedback.
  • Design and administer product concept tests, evaluating customer reactions to features, design, and proposed product benefits.
  • Synthesize test results and provide recommendations for refining product concepts to better align with customer expectations.

Sales Performance Data Analysis

  • Track sales trends and gather insights on product performance post-launch to assess market reception and identify areas for improvement.
  • Gather input from sales teams, distributors, and customer feedback channels to understand product strengths and potential improvements.
  • Develop performance dashboards and reports that provide data-driven insights into product successes and areas requiring adjustments.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with marketing, sales, and production teams to ensure alignment on product positioning, messaging, and target market.
  • Share research findings with cross-functional teams to inform strategic decisions on product features, design elements, and go-to market strategies.
  • Act as a liaison between R&D team and other departments to ensure products are designed with the market demand in mind.

Other Responsibilities:

Data Management and Visualization

  • Organize research data and create visual reports or dashboards to communicate findings effectively.
  • Ensure that all data is well-documented, systematically stored, and accessible for future reference.
  • Regularly update market research databases and tools to keep historical data organized for trend analysis.

Innovation and Research Optimization

  • Remain informed on the latest market research techniques, tools, and technologies to improve research accuracy and efficiency.
  • Suggest and implement new methodologies to enhance research insights, including advance data analysis or AI driven tools.
  • Actively seek opportunities to streamline research processes, making data gathering and analysis more efficient.

Product Launce and Go-to-Market Support

  • Support marketing and sales teams in developing product positioning and messaging based on research insights.
  • Provide data and insights for developing promotional strategies, advertising, and customer engagement campaigns for new product launches.
  • Participate in post-launch reviews to assess product success and gather learnings for future product cycles.

Forecasting and Strategic Insights

  • Provide regular reports on Market and Consumer Trends to inform long term product strategy.
  • Collaborate with the Product Management team to forecast potential shifts in demand and industry direction.
  • Contribute to the formulation of annual and quarterly product development plans based on Market
