An opportunity has arisen to join the Market Risk team within the Treasury function as a specialist market risk manager. In this role you will be directly responsible for market risk appetite and policy as well as leading the market risk section of the Society’s ICAAP and structural hedging strategy as a subject matter expert while supporting others with your wealth of expertise. This role has no line management responsibility.
As a market risk specialist you’ll be joining an established team and will drive improvements to, and understanding of, the risk management framework. This role would ideally suit someone with a strong IRRBB or market risk background who is looking to build on and share that knowledge while offering the opportunity for thought leadership to all levels of the organisation. YBS’s market risk exposures extend to interest rates, credit spread and foreign exchange held entirely within a banking book.
In this role you’ll digest changes to the regulatory landscape and articulate what they mean for YBS. Developing a strong knowledge of the YBS balance sheet will be key to success in the role. In addition, you will champion a positive risk management culture and support others with your expertise.
