The Wilder Institute/Calgary Zoo is looking for a Marketing Analytics Specialist who will turn data into insights that shape strategy across marketing and business operations.
This role will combine analytical acumen with technical expertise to enhance the organization’s performance with a focus on e-commerce systems, data visualization, and cross-functional collaboration. A core responsibility of this position is managing projects related to Tessitura, the organization’s e-commerce platform, ensuring seamless integration and optimization to support business goals.

Responsibilities

Data Analysis and Strategy:

  • Analyze transactional, visitor, and marketing data to inform business and marketing strategies.
  • Develop forecasts for attendance and revenue, leveraging industry, environmental, and organizational data.
  • Assess marketing campaign performance and website analytics to evaluate effectiveness and ROI.

E-Commerce System Management:

  • Oversee the setup, configuration, and optimization of ticket types, events, and pricing on the Tessitura platform.
  • Monitor e-commerce performance, identifying opportunities for system and sales improvements.
  • Ensure the accuracy of pricing, attributes, and system updates to maintain a user-friendly purchasing process.

Project Management:

  • Manage e-commerce technology projects, from requirements gathering to implementation, testing, and optimization.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to integrate Tessitura with marketing, development, finance, and operational workflows.

Reporting and Visualization:

  • Prepare annual attendance and day admission revenue forecasts informed by industry, environmental and organizational data analysis.
  • Create dashboards and automated reports to communicate insights and trends to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with teams to develop accessible visualizations that aid in data-driven decision-making.
