Marketing & Academy Intern Location: Kuala Lumpur / Hybrid Internship Duration: March 2026 onwards (minimum 3–6 months) Department: Marketing & Academy About pitchIN pitchIN is Malaysia’s leading digital fundraising and investment platform, regulated by the Securities Commission Malaysia. We connect startups and SMEs with retail, angel, and institutional investors through equity crowdfunding, peer-to-peer financing, and tokenised investment solutions. Beyond fundraising, pitchIN plays an active role in investor education, ecosystem building, and alternative finance advocacy. We are seeking a proactive and driven Marketing & Academy Intern to support our Marketing & Academy function. This role offers hands-on exposure to startup ecosystems, investment education, strategic partnerships, and go-to-market initiatives. Key Responsibilities Marketing & Communications Support Support the planning and execution of marketing campaigns for pitchIN and pitchIN Academy, including programme launches, events, and fundraising-related initiatives. Assist with content creation and copywriting for social media, website updates, email newsletters, and marketing materials. Support content scheduling and calendar management across pitchIN’s social media platforms. Assist with basic design tasks for marketing collateral (e.g. social media posts, event visuals, presentation slides) using tools such as Canva. Support issuers by assisting with marketing strategies for successful fundraising campaigns, including content planning, campaign messaging, and awareness-building initiatives (under guidance from the team). Assist in monitoring marketing performance and preparing basic reports (e.g. campaign reach, engagement, and traction). pitchIN Academy & Programme Execution Support the planning, coordination, and execution of pitchIN Academy educational programmes, including accelerator programmes, workshops, webinars, and awareness sessions conducted across different states in Malaysia. Assist in managing programme logistics, timelines, speaker coordination, and stakeholder communications to ensure smooth and timely delivery of Academy initiatives. Support the execution of co-branded programmes and events in collaboration with ecosystem partners such as accelerators, corporates, universities, and government agencies. Assist in coordinating partner engagements, including meeting preparation, follow-ups, and maintaining basic documentation. Work with the Commercial and Product teams to support capital-raising activities through Academy programmes and partner-led channels. Track Academy programmes and collaboration activities, and assist in monitoring outcomes and performance against set objectives. Conduct basic research on industry trends, policy developments, and competitor activities to support programme planning and strategic decision-making. Ad-hoc & Strategic Support Support other Academy, marketing, and business initiatives as assigned, including projects related to new services or business lines introduced by pitchIN. Requirements Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Business, Graphic Design, Finance, Multimedia, or a related field. Strong interest in startups, venture capital, fintech, crowdfunding, or alternative investments. Good communication and interpersonal skills, with confidence in engaging external stakeholders. Highly organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Comfortable working independently as well as collaboratively across teams. Proficient in Google Workspace / Microsoft Office (Canva is a plus). What You’ll Gain Hands-on experience in startup fundraising, investor education, and partnership management.
