Veterinary Purchasing Co. Ltd. (VP) located in St. Marys, Ontario, a 25-minute drive from North London, is the largest Veterinary Supplier in Canada. Our primary purpose is to ensure that Veterinarians have the supplies they need to provide healthcare to all types of animals. Be a part of the Supply Chain Industry and join our team. We are currently looking for like-minded individuals to join our Member Services team in a Marketing & Administrative Assistant role.

Skills and knowledge required:

  • 5 years of direct experience in the veterinary field preferred.
  • Previous experience in a marketing role or internship considered an asset.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Bilingual (English/French) language skills are an asset.
  • Basic knowledge of graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite).
  • Familiarity with digital marketing tools and social media platforms.
  • Willingness to adapt to varying hours and travel requirements.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Proven skill in establishing and maintaining professional networks and connections
Responsibilities
  • Marketing:
  • Assist in the development and execution of marketing campaigns across various channels (social media, email, digital, print).
  • Help maintain and update the company website and social media profiles.
  • Create and schedule engaging content for social media platforms (Facebook, LinkedIn).
  • Collaborate with team members to brainstorm and develop new marketing strategies.Conduct market research to identify trends and customer preferences.


    • Communications:

    • Prepare drafts for internal and external communications.Disseminate communications through email, website and newsletter platforms.


      • Events:

      • Support the planning and execution of company events, trade shows, and webinars, including venue selection, logistics, and setup.Coordinate with vendors, manage invitations, and oversee event materials to ensure a seamless experience for attendees.


        • Administrative:

        • Provide administrative support, including managing marketing calendars, scheduling meetings, and maintaining project timelines as assigned by Marketing Manager.
        • Maintain organized records of marketing activities and performance metrics.Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for continuous improvement efforts in marketing.


          • Executive Support and Assistance:

          • Assist the CEO in preparing for member appreciation meetings, board meetings, and town hall meetings.
          • Arrange and coordinate travel plans including flights, accommodation and car rentals as needed.Manage and coordinate personal and professional tasks, including procurement of gifts and items as needed.


            • Other:
