MARKETING AND COMMUNICATION SPECIALIST

Full-Time | Exempt | $62,400-$68,400 based on education & experience
Kendal at Ithaca, a community guided by the values of Care, Trust, and Respect, is seeking a creative, organized, detail-oriented, and customer-focused individual to join our Marketing team as the Marketing and Communication Specialist. This full-time role is ideal for someone who would like to build a challenging and rewarding career working in Ithaca’s premier Senior living Community. QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • At least three years of experience in customer service, marketing, or data management.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce CRM software, Adobe Creative Suite, WordPress and Canva.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a focus on empathy and quality service.
  • Knowledge of digital marketing strategies, social media management, SEO, and content creation.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize and manage multiple projects while also working collaboratively to manage large and small projects from start to finish.
Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE:

The Marketing and Communications Specialist is key in building communication strategies and messaging internally as well as externally. This role involves the development of successful working relationships with other Kendal departments, residents, prospects and community partners. The successful candidate will have the judgement and initiative to see and develop opportunities for Kendal to improve their professional presence.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate with coworkers and prospects to be sure admissions SOP’s are followed and all incoming data is complete and correct.
  • Maintain accurate records in Salesforce CRM, supporting admissions and project management.
  • Develop marketing materials, manage social media platforms, and create content for the website and newsletters using tools like Adobe Creative Suite, Canva and WordPress.
  • Work closely with internal teams to provide exceptional service, promoting Kendal’s welcoming and inclusive environment.
