With a vision of building thriving communities for all, CFT works locally and across the state with many individuals, families, companies, foundations, and nonprofits through a variety of charitable funds and strategic grantmaking initiatives. CFT professionally manages more than 1,300 charitable funds and has awarded nearly $3 billion in grants since its founding in 1953.  Your Role The Marketing and Communications Assistant role plays an important part in executing strategies that increase awareness, engagement, and impact for Communities Foundation of Texas. This role provides day-to-day support across digital marketing, website management, events, and project coordination—helping bring campaigns and initiatives to life while ensuring strong organization, accurate data management, and consistent execution across platforms. The Assistant collaborates with teams across the foundation and contributes to both strategic initiatives and day-to-day operations that keep marketing efforts running smoothly. What You'll Do Digital Marketing & Data Support  * Support email and social media marketing campaigns in collaboration with the team * Support the creation of reports and presentations as needed * Maintain organized systems for tracking project milestones, deadlines, and deliverables * Use SharePoint, Salesforce, and related systems to manage data and track progress * Ensure accurate and timely data entry across systems * Curate and maintain accurate contact lists for media, partner organizations, and other key constituents * Route mailing list updates across platforms such as Salesforce, MightyCause, and Mailchimp Website & Content Management  * Update and maintain website content using CMS tools  * Publish marketing materials and content  * Troubleshoot website issues with internal teams or vendors  * Maintain MarCom intranet to deliver up-to-date resources for staff  Asset & File Management  * Maintain organized digital file and asset systems to support MarCom projects and ensure appropriate access across the organization  * Upload video files to YouTube/Vimeo for sharing  * Download/upload event photo files and organize/tag  * Digitally label photos using provided event and/or initiative information  Events & Brand Support  * Coordinate printing and distribution of materials  * Add events and related tasks to calendars and tracking systems, like Asana  * Assist with event logistics, including setup, RSVP management, photo scribing, registration, and recap  * Prepare and distribute handouts and collateral  * Work with vendors to facilitate photography, videography, and other marketing collateral  Inventory & Operations  * Manage inventory and ordering of branded materials and items  * Coordinate distribution of marketing materials to internal teams and external stakeholders  * Restock branded materials across the CFT office and among appropriate partners  * Coordinate North Texas Giving Day material distribution  * Manage subscriptions, licenses, and shared logins  What does success look like in the role? * Keeping projects organized and on track  * Managing multiple priorities with accuracy  * Delivering consistent, high-quality marketing materials  * Quickly locating and managing digital assets to support timely project execution  * Contributing to clear, consistent, and high-quality marketing materials that strengthen the CFT brand  * Supporting seamless execution of events, campaigns, and communications across the organization   Experience You Bring * Bachelor’s degree required  * 2–4 years of experience in marketing, communications, or administrative/project coordination roles  * Experience with marketing and project management tools such as email marketing platforms, CMS tools, CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce), and collaboration tools (e.g., SharePoint, Asana, Smartsheet)  * Familiarity with design tools (e.g., Canva) and AI tools (e.g., Copilot) is a plus  * Strong attention to detail and accuracy * Embraces technologies and platforms to help get work done efficiently * Excellent organizational and time management skills * Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously * Proactive problem-solving and critical thinking skills * Dependable with strong follow-through * Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment * Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills * Ability to balance independent work with team collaboration * Effectively model and demonstrate CFT’s core competencies which include Collaboration, Impact and Problem Solving, Integrity and Accountability, Learning, and Internal and External Service   Disclaimer: The above sections contain representative examples of job duties that might be performed by employees assigned to this classification.
