The Oakville & Milton Humane Society (OMHS) is a dedicated non-profit organization focused on enhancing the lives of animals and connecting caring communities in Oakville and Milton. We provide shelter, care, and a range of support services for approximately 300 animals, while promoting responsible pet ownership through education. QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

The following are general descriptions of some of the requirements necessary to carry out the duties and responsibilities of this position:

  • Post-secondary education in marketing, communications, digital media, graphic design, or a related field, or a combination of relevant work experience
  • 1-2 years of experience in a digital marketing or communications role is an asset (non-profit experience is a plus)
  • Proficiency with graphic design tools (eg. Canva, Adobe Creative Suite)
  • Experience managing websites (CMS experience/wordpress experience a plus)
  • Experience with social media scheduling tools (eg. Hootsuite, Buffer, Sprout Social etc)
  • Strong photography and videography skills, including basic editing
  • Excellent written and verbal skills, with the ability to learn and execute the designated brand voice
  • Highly organized with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Comfortable and able to be around various animal species including cats, dogs, small animals, birds and reptiles
  • Passion for animal welfare and alignment with the mission of OMHS
  • Able to function effectively in a fast-paced work environment
  • Strong sense of teamwork and collaboration, but also able to work autonomously
  • Excellent ability to think creatively and independently, and highly capable of problem solving

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Salary Range: $26.53/hour + Benefits
