Job Description:

As a Marketing and Communications Executive, you will play a crucial role in developing and executing our marking and communication strategies. You will be responsible for managing internal and external communications, enhancing our brand image, and driving engagement across various platforms. This is a strategic role that requires creativity, excellent writing skills, and a passion for storytelling.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive marketing and communication strategies to enhance brand visibility.
  • Craft compelling content for the annual report, articles, newsletters, social media, and other communication channels.
  • Manage media relations, including responding to media inquiries and building strong relationships with stakeholders such as Journalists, Government Officials, Industry Representatives for example.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent messaging across all channels.
  • Monitor and analyse communication performance metrics, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Lead crisis communication efforts when needed, ensuring timely and effective responses.
  • Support the development of internal communication initiatives to foster a positive organisational culture.
  • Conduct engaging site tours for visitors, industry stakeholders, and media representatives, showcasing BML’s role in Queensland’s fresh produce supply chain.
  • Organisation of internal and external events.
  • Confidently present and communicate the value of our business and the wider fresh produce industry to diverse audiences.


What We’re Looking For:

  • Degree qualified – Marketing, Journalism or related field
  • 3-5 years experience
  • Strong background in communications, marketing, or public relations, with experience in media liaison.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail in content creation.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with industry stakeholders.
  • Experience in managing corporate communications, including publications and media releases.
