ABOUT US
Sustainability Trust, Te Ohu Toitutanga, is a community
enterprise operating in the Te Ūpoko o te Ika (wider Wgtn)
region.
We deliver a range of innovative social and environmental
programmes under several business units and multiple brands,
including FillGood, Sustainable Homes, Te Aro Zero Waste, Toast
Electric and Wellington Curtain Bank.
We are a staff of 38 with approximately 58 volunteers. Our
turnover in the 24 FY was $6.5m.
The two business units that this role is primarily focused on are
Toast Electric and Sustainable Homes.
Toast Electric is a social electricity retailer, owned by
Sustainability Trust and providing electricity in the Wellington
and Horowhenua regions. Toast focuses on supporting
households in energy hardship and growing our customer base

across the lower North Island. Toast currently has 900 customers,
with a goal to increase by 100% within the next 12 months.
Sustainable Homes offers a range of energy solutions that make
Wellington homes warmer and more energy efficient. These
include heat pumps, insulation, central heating and home EV
charging solutions. Sustainable Homes has an ambitious sales
target in the coming financial year.
