Description

Are you an experienced marketing professional who thrives at the intersection of strategic thinking, creative design, and hands-on execution? Universal Realty Group, based in Halifax, Nova Scotia, is a leading property management company committed to Building Excellence. With a diverse portfolio that includes over 2,300 rental apartments, more than 1.5 million square feet of commercial space, and the landmark Lord Nelson Hotel & Suites, we create communities that are vibrant, welcoming, and thoughtfully branded.
We’re seeking a Marketing & Design Manager who thrives in both the strategic development and hands-on execution of creative marketing initiatives. This role demands expertise in graphic design, print production, and vendor management, combined with strong capabilities in digital marketing, copywriting, and cross-functional project coordination. While many projects are executed internally, others involve collaboration with external consultants—requiring thoughtful oversight and alignment. The ideal candidate is both creatively driven and operationally sharp, capable of producing press ready materials, managing signage specifications, developing persuasive content, and leading marketing projects from concept to delivery. Success in this role depends on creativity, strong project management, vendor coordination, and the ability to work collaboratively across teams to support strategic business objectives that deliver cohesive, high-impact marketing solutions.
At Universal Realty Group, we offer a workplace culture built on teamwork, open communication, and career development. With several new residential and mixed-use development projects underway, this is a great opportunity to grow with an organization that values creativity, initiative, and long-term impact.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2+ years of relevant experience in marketing, graphic design, and creative project execution, ideally within a dynamic or customer-facing environment.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop), with a strong design portfolio demonstrating both print and digital work.
  • Proven experience with print production, signage design, and coordinating with vendors on quoting, production, and installation.
  • Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to craft persuasive, on-brand marketing copy across formats.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, with excellent organization, attention to detail, and time management.
  • Comfortable working within CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress, Squarespace), email marketing tools and social scheduling platforms.
  • Familiarity with digital advertising platforms such as Meta Business Suite and Google Ads.
  • Working knowledge of photography, short-form video production, or mobile content creation is a plus.
  • Collaborative and service-oriented, with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively across departments.
  • Adaptable, and solution-focused—able to maintain professionalism and clear communication in a fast-paced, hospitality-driven environment.
Universal Realty Group recognizes our employees as essential to our success and value diverse skills. From frontline staff to management, we offer excellent opportunities for career growth, as well as employer-provided medical benefits and other incentives. We are looking for new talent to join our dynamic team that is setting the standard of excellence in the property management field.
