JOB PURPOSE
- Supporting the Director of Business Development with business development, marketing, and partnership engagement to support our existing work and growth opportunities.
- Understanding our organisation’s funding needs, undertaking research, identifying funding opportunities, and generating income from a range of possible sources, including trusts and companies.
- Writing high-quality funding proposals and bids (experience of writing is essential).
- Leading and supporting marketing and communications activity, ensuring LPW’s visual identity and tone of voice remain consistent across all channels.
- Building and maintaining a strong network of funders, educators, community partners, and local businesses to support our work.
- Ensuring the website and digital channels are regularly updated with blogs, newsletters, case studies, photos, and videos.
- Attending events to create engaging content, take photos and video, and share stories that demonstrate LPW’s impact.
- Leverage the Ofsted Outstanding for LPW School to create new opportunities.
- Working closely with the Heads Team to ensure delivery is aligned to funding and that implementation satisfies monitoring, evaluation, and reporting requirements.
In this role, your primary areas of responsibility will be:
- Identifying and securing income from a range of sources.
- Writing funding proposals and bids.
- Working to income targets.
- Coordinating input from internal colleagues and external partners to generate information required for funding bids and reporting.
- Building and maintaining a community of supporters, including funders, educators, community groups, and local businesses.
- Preparing, overseeing, and distributing marketing materials including email marketing, newsletters, and impact reports.
- Creating and editing marketing content, including social media posts, website copy, blogs, and case studies.
- Attending LPW events and sessions to capture high-quality photos, videos, and interviews to support marketing and communications.
- Updating and maintaining the website with fresh content, news stories, and imagery to support SEO and online engagement.
- Assisting with digital marketing activities, including social media scheduling, email newsletters, and campaigns.

Experience of:
- Producing high-quality written work (essential).
- Writing content for a range of purposes, from blogs and reports to proposals and bids.
- Developing and producing engaging marketing materials and content.
- Working with people at different levels, demonstrating an ability to engage effectively with each.
- Excellent organisational skills, including ability to work on own initiative and to effectively manage multiple tasks and prioritise workload.
- Managing a diverse workload and working to deadlines under pressure.
- Collating, analysing, and presenting information to a range of audiences.
- Effectively using relevant sources of information to conduct research.
- Confident and professional approach, with the ability to exercise judgement and discretion.
- Good IT skills and excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
- Experience with CRM systems and social media platforms.
- Creating digital content for web and social media, including photography and basic video editing.
