As a small business with a loyal customer base and plenty of ambition to grow both in the UK and internationally, PPI is looking for a versatile Marketing and Sales Manager to manage a small team. Reporting to Philip and Julie, you will be required to manage and mentor two direct reports and liaise with product and finance teams and specialist freelancers when required.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • 3+ years’ experience working in a sales and marketing environment with commercial, brand, team and budget responsibilities
  • Proven success in developing and implementing sales strategies, marketing plans and campaigns
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong trade relationships
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong project management, multitasking, and decision-making skills
  • Metrics-driven sales and marketing mind with an eye for creativity
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • An agile, hands-on approach when required.

Responsibilities
  • Develop annual marketing plans based on title launch dates and revenue targets with specific objectives across different channels and product segments
  • Lead the execution of marketing initiatives from start to finish, leveraging internal support and driving collaboration
  • Help develop creative briefs and guide creative direction to meet objectives for all trade and customer communications, including print, digital, and video assets
  • Brand custodianship - nurturing the brand’s identity, reputation and value; ensuring visual and message consistency
  • Analyse sales data, customer insights, market trends, competitor activity and marketing best practices to pinpoint challenges, identify new business opportunities and build successful strategies
  • Maintain and develop trade channel relations with retailers and distributors in the UK and internationally
  • Ensure CX quality at every touchpoint from website visit to unboxing and beyond
  • Work with PR specialist to support book launches, gifting and industry events
  • Evaluate product placement and brand collaboration opportunities
  • Manage budgets effectively and ensure resources are utilised efficiently.
  • Provide quarterly performance updates
  • Represent the company at trade shows and industry events
  • Product pricing strategy and stock management.
