Description GENERAL STATEMENT OF FUNCTIONS Responsible for assisting and supporting the Director of Marketing & Resource Development.in all organizational marketing activities SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Assist in the planning, execution, and tracking of marketing campaigns across multiple channels (digital, social media, email, and print) Create and schedule engaging content for social media platforms and email marketing initiatives Website design and updates Assist in creating internal and external newsletters Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely delivery of marketing materials Support the organization at community events, advocating for individuals with disabilities Conduct competitor and market research to identify opportunities Track marketing performance metrics and prepare reports with key insights Pitch creative ideas and bring fresh perspectives to the team Other duties as assigned Requirements QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION, AND EXPERIENCE Thorough knowledge of business English (including grammar, vocabulary, and punctuation) Knowledge of Google Workspace (Google Calendar, Drive, Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Chat, Meet) Familiarity with E-Newsletter platforms such as MailChimp, Constant Contact, or others Expert knowledge and experience using Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Publisher Knowledge and experience using Canva, Adobe, and web design software Knowledge of social media platforms and content scheduling tools Basic understanding of SEO, digital advertising, and analytics Basic website and graphic design experience Valid California driver’s license Acceptable driving record State minimum required automobile insurance Reliable transportation PHYSICAL ABILITIES Ability to maintain up to a 30-hour work week Skills for using a calculator, keyboard, and computer Good vision and hearing are needed to perform all requirements of this position Ability to stand or walk for extended periods during events Comfortable lifting, carrying, or moving materials and equipment (up to 25–30 lbs) Willingness to travel locally for EXCEED site visits and/or marketing/community events. Willingness to travel for legislator and/or or industry advocacy events Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends to support event schedules Effective communication and interpersonal skills MENTAL ABILITIES Strong organizational skills to ensure deadlines are met Effective communication skills Creative thinking and problem-solving skills to support campaign development and execution REPORTING RELATIONSHIP Reports to the Director of Marketing & Resource Development POSITION CLASSIFICATION Non-exempt NORMAL WORK SCHEDULE Monday through Thursday, 9:00 am to 2:00 pm, with flexibility for event attendance
