Description

The Marketing Assistants will provide support to the Project Support Team in the planning and execution of specific assigned projects. The Marketing Assistant will work closely with the Assistant Director, Project Support & Marketing, and Marketing Specialist, as well as volunteers, to ensure that the implementation and conclusion of each assigned project is consistent with GA strategies, commitments, and goals.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • BA and 1-3 years relevant work experience
  • Ability to multi-task multiple projects at the same time. Excellent time-management skills.
  • Experience and knowledge of a membership organization helpful but not required
  • Excellent interpersonal skills – work successfully with staff and volunteers
  • Strong Oral and written communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Computer literacy in Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Publisher.
  • Knowledge of Canva or other graphic design software is preferred.
Responsibilities
  • Assist in the creation of communication pieces to market programs and events for five regions and the chapters/groups within them, including but not limited to:
  • E-blasts
  • Newsletter/bulletin material collection and oversight
  • Event flyer creation as directed
  • Newspaper/magazine advertising
  • Other graphic pieces
  • Serve as project point person, collaborating with volunteers, staff, and vendors as needed regarding the specific assigned project(s).
  • Regularly update website to showcase chapter programs, events, and activities.
  • Update social media accounts to market upcoming events, highlight successes, and promote national priorities.
  • Maintain program and event spreadsheets for registrations and donations, and produce reports as required.
  • Work in partnership with a team of volunteers and staff to compile and produce various printed newsletters.
  • Review, fact-check and proof work.
  • Assist the Managing Director and Assistant Director, Project Support & Marketing as needed.
