POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Marketing Assistant will play a key role in managing guest communications, responding to catering and event inquiries, and supporting marketing efforts to keep MoBay Spice top-of-mind in the community. This is a part-time role with opportunities to grow as the restaurant expands.

REQUIREMENTS

• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Highly organized with attention to detail
• Comfortable managing emails and customer inquiries
• Familiarity with social media platforms and content creation
• Positive, professional, and customer-service minded
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Interest in marketing, communications, or hospitality (student or recent grad welcome)
• Prior experience in marketing, admin, or hospitality is a plus (but not required)
• Flexible availability (may include occasional evenings/weekends for events)

• Respond to emails for catering, private parties, and group reservations
• Communicate professionally with guests and provide timely follow-ups
• Manage and update social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok)
• Create and share engaging content to promote the restaurant and food truck
• Assist with design/distribution of flyers, menus, and digital promotions
• Help organize and support special events, promotions, and partnerships
• Track inquiries, leads, and bookings in an organized system
• Collaborate with management to brainstorm new marketing strategies
• Maintain brand consistency and ensure MoBay Spice is represented positively online and in person
