JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a creative and enthusiastic Marketing Assistant to support our busy marketing team. This role is heavily focused on social media management, content creation, and Canva design work, helping to deliver engaging campaigns that grow our audience and enhance our brand presence.

Responsibilities

MAIN DUTIES

  • Create engaging content for social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn etc.), including graphics, videos, and posts.
  • Manage content calendars, schedule posts, and engage with followers to build community.
  • Monitor and respond to reviews, comments, and messages across social channels (Google, Facebook, TripAdvisor).
  • Use Canva to design social media graphics, POS templates, and ad-hoc signage.
  • Train and support colleagues in using Canva to ensure consistent branding across all materials.
  • Support the execution of promotional campaigns and events, ensuring content is aligned across online and in-store activity.
  • Assist with paid advertising campaigns across digital platforms, tracking spends and performance.
  • Contribute creative ideas to inspire customers, increase footfall, and support in-store promotions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to deliver consistent, high-quality content.
  • Use analytics to review social media performance and suggest improvements.
  • Support with instore events and other ad hoc marketing duties.

REQUIREMENTS FOR THE ROLE

  • Strong knowledge of social media platforms and best practices.
  • Confident using Canva (experience creating professional, branded content is essential).
  • Creative thinker with a good eye for design and detail.
  • Strong written communication skills, with the ability to adapt tone across platforms.
  • Organised and able to manage content calendars and deadlines.
  • A collaborative team player who can work with different departments and external partners.
  • Previous experience in a marketing, creative, or social media role is desirable but not essential.
    Rate of pay shown is for those aged 21+, competitive rates for those aged 18-20.
    Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
    Pay: £13.00 per hour
